Rocky Mountain Clean Air Action Clean Air for Healthy Children, Healthy Communities Our Successes We successfully closed up a 30-year old loophole that allowed air polluters in Colorado to threaten our health during "upset conditions," a long abused excuse for pollution. We won the first-ever safeguards to reduce toxic, smog forming pollution from oil and gas developments across the entire state of Colorado. We secured smog reductions for the Denver metro region and are continuing to push for further clean air protections. We've strengthened pollution permits for some of the largest and dirtiest polluters in the region, tightening up pollution control requirements for cleaner air. We've worked with our partners to hold polluters accountable in local communities.  We are working with local groups to clean up cement plants, uranium mills, coal burning power plants, natural gas processing plants, and other sources of air pollution. We are the only group dedicated to protecting clean air for healthy children and healthy communities in the Rocky Mountain Region. More to come...
